Marie Nolan Myers & Greig Wyper married on the 17th March this year at the exquisite Judges Country House Hotel in Yarm.

Traditional kilts were worn by the boys, perfectly complemented by the heather-coloured bridesmaids dresses and bouquet of rich red roses and Scottish thistles.

Forget little black dress, this is the long black dress! Designers have launched an abundance of black gowns into the boutiques, ready for the most daring or brides! From Ronald Joyce to Vera Wang, there is a long black number in almost every major bridal collection for 2012 and 2013.

So what has sparked the bright white backlash? It seems to have started with Ms Wang’s AW12 bridal show at New York Bridal Week (way back in October 2011) where she showcased, amongst the traditional ivory and white gowns, a number of black dresses that looked equally fit for a princess bride.
